Denton Reserve Wedding Photography
Lindsey & Tin Tin chose a rather overcast spring day for their wedding at Denton Reserve in Ilkley, Yorkshire. Luckily the couple had made sure the spring colour was present in the day in other ways. The bride, the groom, and their respective parties, got ready in the Coach House behind Denton Hall. Lindsey had a familiar face to the blog — Jodie Hazlewood — doing her hair and make-up. Everyone was doing their best to calm the bride’s nerves as the emotions were starting to get the better of her! Soon it was time for the wedding ceremony in the main hall, and the nerves soon turned to joy.

The first sign of the spring colour was Lindsey’s bouquet of colourful blooms, but there was more to come. The civil ceremony passed without incident, and the newlyweds were soon heading outside under a shower of equally colourful confetti. After that everyone headed back into the hall for drinks, canapés and the most colourful macarons I’ve ever seen. Lindsey had baked all of them herself in the days leading up to the wedding.

After drinks and munching of macarons, it was time for everyone to head downstairs for dinner. There were yet more bright colours on the tables, and we had a few speeches after the wedding breakfast.
After dinner, everyone headed back up to the main house where the couple cut their wedding cake and got the dancing started. They had a friend on DJ duty, and then a band to keep everyone moving into the night!
