It was a cold March day for Emily and Richard’s Asylum Chapel wedding which started off at The Apex London Wall Hotel. Emily’s bridesmaids were helping her get ready, dressing in a beautiful Limor Rosen lace dress and fantastic glittery shoes. Meanwhile, Richard was donning the fantastic Batman socks (complete with cape!) that Emily had given to him.
After that, it was time to head to Asylum in Peckham. Luckily all the guests were wrapped up warm against the cold. Emily made a grand entrance on her dad’s arm where Richard was waiting to greet her. Similarly, their young daughter was keen to be part of the ceremony. No one seemed to mind to much. Otherwise, we would have all missed the most amazing sparkly cloak and tutu that she was wearing!
Whilst they signed the register, a friend entertained the guests by playing the guitar and then some of the younger guests sang. After that, it was time for some fizz, with a quick dash into the rain for some confetti. After that everyone headed back inside the Asylum Chapel for more fizz.

After the wedding ceremony at Asylum Chapel, two Routemaster buses transferred the guests to The Anthologist bar and restaurant in the City where more champagne was consumed. After that, everyone sat down for speeches from Emily’s dad and Richard. Once the meal had been eaten (and quite a few tequila shots consumed!) Emily’s sister and the best men read more speeches, and reduced some of the guests to tears. This is always the sign of a good speech.
Shoes were then cast aside so that the guests could throw some shapes to some 90s tunes from the band Sega and the Boombox, and continued celebrating into the night.
