Not my first Great Fosters wedding, but certainly one of my favourites. Josh and his crew got ready on site, and Chris arrived in plenty of time to check on the preparations in The Orangery and Tithe Barn. They both found time to meet and greet the guests in the bar before the ceremony.
The ceremony itself took place in the Great Fosters Orangery, once the couple had made their entrance together. Formalities complete, they lead the guests out of the ceremony room under a shower of confetti. The spring weather kept everyone inside for drinks and canapés in the Painted Hall.

The fantastic Tithe Barn at Great Fosters awaited the guests for the wedding breakfast. After eating there was a huge raft of speeches from parents, grooms and almost all of the attendants! With the room turned around, the newlyweds cut their five tier wedding cake. We then had a raucous ceilidh with one of the best men on fiddle duty. The ceilidh dancing was less chaotic than I’m used to. The guests were clearly paying more attention!
