Back in the saddle in the darkness of February for Hannah and Alex’s wedding in Knightley Court at Fawsley Hall. Northamptonshire is not a place I’ve visited a lot for weddings, despite passing through it for most of my journeys!
The bride and bridal party had their make-up done in the very fancy on-site salon at the Fawsley Hall spa. After that, they retired to the bridal suite in Knightley Court to have their hair done, and to drink some fizz. Hannah is a journalist specialising in beverages, so all of the drinks choices were well thought out! Once ready, everyone headed down to the Valentine Suite where the groom was waiting patiently.

After a quick civil ceremony, the wedding moved to the Stables Bar for more Bolly and canapés. A family friend was on hand to do a few posed photos, saving me from my least favourite part of the day! After an hour or so of mingling, the fun moved to the Saunders Suite for the wedding breakfast and speeches.

The evening festivities began with cocktails curated by the bride. There was some acoustic music, before the guests gathered to view some old photos in the on-site cinema. The cake cutting (with sword!) and first dance took place back in the Saunders Suite, and the evening ended with lots of dancing.
