If you go down to the woods today, you’ll find a lovely wedding venue called The Dreys. It has camping for the guests, a little clearing in the woods for the ceremony, a big tent for the wedding breakfast and a few other quirky buildings for drinking, dancing and sneaking off to. More on that later.
Cheyenne got ready at her home with her family that had travelled from across Europe. Her own two kids also helped in their own way. Hair and make-up were in the good hands of Holly Kathleen. Meanwhile, Graham was waiting at The Dreys as the guests took their seats.

A family friend conducted a hand-fasting ceremony with readings from friends and family. There was also music by guitarist and singer Matt Brooks. Afterwards the guests filed through an archway made by the conjoined couple, before lining up for confetti. Then there were drinks, a bit of swinging on the swing and the happy couple took the opportunity for ten minutes by themselves at the log cabin with a bottle of the local fizz.

There was a splendid hog roast, with a buffet courtesy of some friends of Cheyenne at Warm Heart Cafe. Matt provided more musical backing, and then there were speeches from Cheyenne’s teenage son (an emotional one this), Graham and the best man. Next there was a sneaky first dance to get the evening started, then lots of play time for the guests. A campfire was lit by the couple and the kids got stuck in with marshmallows and s’mores.
