A wedding at The Elvetham hotel, that started in Twickenham. Just when you thought cassettes were dead, in steps Richard with an ageing Walkman. Inside was a compilation tape for Jane to listen to as she’s getting ready. Old school and romantic at the same time. This wedding involved the first of two trips to Twickenham in May, with the bridal preparations happening at Jane’s home. With help from family and friends she was soon ready to head down the road to the ceremony at St. Stephen’s Church.

After the short church ceremony, Jane and Richard headed off down the M3 to The Elvetham in Hampshire, with guests in tow. With four flower girls, and a couple of page boys, the kids played a big part in proceedings. Mainly swinging off Jane’s veil, blowing bubbles, playing ‘leaning tower of Jenga’ and generally making mischief. And snot. During his speech Richard continued his theme of ‘gifts that make you go aaah’ with a framed copy of a newspaper from the day they got together. He’s a keeper.
