A trip to Chipping Campden on the northern edge of the Gloucestershire Cotswolds for a slightly rainy wedding. The weather took a bit of a turn for the worst once we were into May. This meant after getting ready at her parents’ home, Hannah had to unfortunately abandon plans to walk to the local church for the ceremony. She had two young bridesmaids who did a fantastic job of keeping the dress off the wet pavements and grass.
After the ceremony Hannah and new husband Matt scurried over to the church hall for afternoon tea with their guests. Having loaded up on fizz and cake they made the short drive to Chipping Campden. In the centre of this beautiful and quaint village is the lovely Cotswold House Hotel. On arrival they had another brief drinks reception in the hotel grounds, before taking their seats for the wedding breakfast.
There were a few speeches after the meal, and a ceremonial cutting of the wedding cake. Then the dance floor kicked into life, and that’s where I left everyone partying into the night.
