Lynn and Chris held their wedding just before Christmas at The Roseate boutique hotel in Reading. The bride got ready at her family home, perfecting her vintage look including finger waves in her hair. Soon it was time to head to St. Paul’s church in Wokingham for the wedding ceremony. The church was decked out in Christmas trees and other decorations, giving the ceremony an extra-festive edge.
After the ceremony the bride and groom jumped in a classic Rolls Royce for the trip to the reception. Everyone else followed to the glamorous surroundings of The Roseate Hotel in Reading. Textiles teacher Lynn had hand-picked the venue for it’s opulent interior design, furniture, fabrics and wall-coverings. There was mulled wine and mince pies on arrival, and a short slideshow of images of the couple in the basement cinema.
There was a brief diversion, with bubbles, for speeches from the father of the bride, the groom and the best man. The guests then took their seats for the wedding breakfast. After eating they headed back downstairs for the cutting of the cake, then the dancing began.
