Lucy and Matt’s Stock Exchange Hotel wedding was preceded by a ceremony at their local church in Prestwich to the north of Manchester. This was my last wedding of the year. It was good to get some fresh air after a few days of loafing around stuffing my face and watching Christmas television!
Lucy got ready at home with her family and friends, and surrounded by the trappings of Christmas. Matt was to be found meeting and greeting the guests at the pub opposite the church. The bridesmaids were delivered to church by a friend in their Volkswagen minivan. Shortly after, the bride arrived and the ceremony began. Music was provided by a talented young family member on the piano. Unfortunately the vicar banished photographers to the back of this particular church. However, I managed to sneak a few shots down the aisle!

The celebrations then moved into the centre of Manchester. This amazing city centre venue is owned by former Manchester United players Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs. Housed in the Grade II listed former stock exchange building, the restaurant and bar in the hotel are run by Michelin-starred chef Tom Kerridge.
There was an atmospheric drinks reception in the lobby, again soundtracked by the family member on piano. This was followed by a meal in the very grand main hall of the building, interspersed with speeches. Then the tables made way for a dance floor and as you might expect, dancing.

I’ll leave the final words to Lucy:
“Thank you so much for taking such fantastic photos of our wedding and capturing the day perfectly! Both Matt and I are so pleased with them and they are exactly what we wanted – thank you too for your help and advice when getting ready! MANY THANKS!”
