A long-awaited return trip to the Lake District for a wedding at New House Farm. I’ve had couples bring their dogs along to their wedding before. However, Rebecca and Dave’s wedding in the Lake District was the first time I have seen the dog doing videography. Ted had his own little GoPro attached to provide a unique perspective on the day. Thankfully the lovely Lee & Dawn from Shutterbox were unfazed by their canine competitor.
Rebecca and her army of bridesmaids got ready at New House Farm. After that, they headed to the other side of Bassenthwaite Lake for the ceremony. This took place at St Bega’s Church, and they arrived in a fleet of vintage vehicles. As you can see below St Bega’s is in a unique location with some amazing views. After the ceremony there was time for a few family groups to make the most of the views, then everyone headed back to New House Farm. Note for prospective couples reading this. If your ceremony venue requests that you don’t throw confetti in the grounds, and you decide to opt for birdseed instead, bear in mind that birdseed is quite hard. It is also small enough to get EVERYWHERE. Carry on…
Back at the barn we were greeted by some amazing floral table centres and Dave’s handy work with a few thousand fairy lights. After the meal we had speeches with the final toast done with Jägerbombs! Then there was time for physical exertion with a game of rounders in the rain and a human pyramid on the dance floor. Not my first, as regular readers will know.
