My second very small wedding of the autumn involved a visit to Zetter Townhouse in Clerkenwell. It also included a return trip to the Mayor’s Parlour at Islington Town Hall. Amber managed to get dressed in record time after her hair and make-up appointment over-ran.
In the end, the late arrival of her brother and dad held up the ceremony!

A short taxi journey into Clerkenwell, and everyone got comfortable in the unique dining room at the Zetter Townhouse. Situated across the courtyard from its sister hotel, the Zetter Hotel, the Townhouse is perfect for a small wedding. It has a brilliant private dining room in the basement, and a nifty little cocktail bar on the floor above. My short time with the wedding got me a glimpse of the naked cake (very on trend for this year), and a taste of the fantastic canapés. I also got the chance to be the couple’s excuse for a few private minutes away from the family to enjoy a toast to their new married status.
