The Amadeus is a perfect little wedding venue in the Little Venice area of north west London. A former Welsh Presbyterian church, it was renovated in the late 80’s to create an events and party venue. Katie got ready at her sister’s apartment around the corner from the ceremony venue. She had an amazing bouquet of orchids, with pink roses for her bridesmaids. Once dressed everyone took cabs to Westminster Register Office at Old Marylebone Town Hall.
Phil was waiting in the Westminster Room for his bride’s arrival. After the short civil ceremony everyone headed to the famous steps for confetti. Then they herded on to a Routemaster bus for the short journey to Maida Vale. There was a drinks reception in the basement of the venue, lit by a curtain of fairy lights. Then the wedding breakfast was held in the main room of The Amadeus lit by more fairy lights suspended from the balcony. The couple cut their cake, which was a stack of chocolate brownies. After that, it was back downstairs for dancing.
