This was my first wedding at the freshly reopened and renovated Old Marylebone Town Hall. Kelly and Dwayne chose to have a micro-wedding with a shorter day and a reduced guest list. Beforehand, Kelly got ready with her mum and sister at the Le Meridien hotel on Piccadilly. After they added finishing touches to their make-up, they got the bride into her dress. A ring with sentimental value was added to Kelly’s bouquet, then we all jumped in a car to the ceremony.

I got dropped off by the wedding car outside the town hall for the wedding ceremony. There I found Dwayne meeting and greeting family and friends on the steps outside. They then headed up to the Westminster Room and got comfortable. The couple had put together their own map of London for the walk to the reception later, and everyone got a copy. On their arrival the bridal party were tucked away in the Marylebone Room next door to await the big moment.
Soon Kelly made her grand entrance and the short, but very sweet, civil ceremony took place. There were a couple of readings, and the usual signing of the register. After that, the newlyweds made their exit, and then they were showered with confetti on the steps outside.

Following the wedding ceremony at Old Marylebone Town Hall, the happy couple led their guests on foot through Westminster to Bernardi’s Bar and Restaurant. Once there, they had a brief meet and greet outside and then everybody got comfortable in the basement of the venue. There were nibbles and custom cocktails in honour of the bride and groom.
