One of my last events of the year was Emma and Mike’s Christmassy No.4 Hamilton Place wedding. They chose the glamorous home of the Royal Aeronautical Society in Mayfair, as the venue for their ceremony and party. Unfortunately Mike’s family were unable to make the trip from his native New Zealand. This meant the pressure was on to create a record that would enable them to experience the day as much as possible!
Emma got ready in the purpose-made dressing room upstairs. Meanwhile, Mike calmed his nerves and took care of the meeting and greeting downstairs. There was a lovely Christmas tree to welcome the guests who took their seats in grand The Marshall of Cambridge Room. After a short ceremony everyone enjoyed drinks in the foyer. Following that, there was time for the bride and groom to head across the road to the New Zealand War Memorial for a few photographs.
Back inside No.4 Hamilton Place the wedding breakfast took place in the amazing Argyll Room. There were a few speeches, and more drinks on the terrace outside overlooking Park Lane and Hyde Park. Later, the couple cut their cake of cheese before hitting the dance floor, closely followed by the guests.
