London has so many great wedding venues, and I’m always finding myself at new ones, including this one at Kenwood House. Faye and Will had chosen this English Heritage property in Hampstead for their big day. Although the main house was undergoing major renovation work, the old kitchen provided a great (if a little cramped!) space for the meal.
After getting ready at home the bride, and many many bridesmaids, headed to St Mary’s Catholic church. In a ‘blink or you’ll miss it’ location, this great building feels much bigger once you are through the deceptively small entrance.

After confetti and a short walk through Hampstead, everyone was transported up the road to Kenwood. Drinks were enjoyed outside thanks to the usual fantastic September weather. After that, it was time for the meal, a few speeches and the usual shape-throwing.
There were a few firsts. Orange, stripy bridesmaids dresses (very cool). Rather spooky masks for the kids. Plus, a father-of-the-bride speech that began with a Usain-style lightning bolt!
