Hackney City Farm Wedding Photography, London
This Hackney City Farm wedding was a new experience. I’ve photographed a few weddings on farms in my time, but always in a rural setting. Middle of nowhere, no mobile signal. You get the idea. But Hackney City Farm (clue is in the name) is right in the heart of East London. First up though were preps at Hayley & Dan’s home, before heading to the ceremony at a venue I’ve frequented numerous times. The lovely Town Hall Hotel in Bethnal Green.

After getting the legal shizzle sorted in the fantastic council chamber, everyone walked the short distance to Hackney City Farm where refreshments awaited. Then it was time to be seated in two big long rows for the wedding breakfast and speeches. After dinner things went off plan slightly as the band that the couple had booked were stuck in traffic on the Dartford Crossing. The first dance was performed accompanied by a guest on acoustic guitar, then an iPhone and some speakers took over.
So, city farm vs rural farm. Different setting, same result. A good, relaxed time had by all.
