A glorious day for Jessica and Paul’s Forty Hall wedding. Outdoor wedding ceremonies are always a risky business in the UK. The registrars will have everybody in a cramped and dark room at the first sniff of raindrops. Instead of rain Jessica and Paul were blessed with the exact opposite. Blazing sunshine the like of which rarely seen outside of Africa. After getting ready at her parents’ house nearby the bride joined the groom and guests in the sunny courtyard at Forty Hall.

A couple of readings, some vows, and many beads of sweat later, the wedding then moved to Forty Hall itself. At this point the Mexican theme reared its head! There were sombreros, Zapata moustaches and a fantastic Mariachi band. At this point the instant camera came out and it got plenty of use by moustachioed guests, male and female.
After the reception every guest was given a shot of tequila to slam on their way back to the sunny courtyard for dinner. Plus a few extra for speeches. Outside is a risky location for a meal in these parts, but one that seriously paid off for this Forty Hall wedding. After some raucous speeches everyone tucked into a huge paella, then a table full of cakes baked by the guests themselves. And what Mexican-themed wedding would be complete without a piñata?

As the sun set, the party moved into the Long Gallery at Forty Hall for the evening celebrations. As the band played there was dancing from all ages, some high-quality limbo work and the traditional cutting of the massive chocolate gâteau.
