Sophie and Will held their wedding reception at Daphne’s Restaurant in fashionable Chelsea in west London. However, first they did the register office bit at Chelsea Old Town Hall just around the corner. A few of their close family and friends were in attendance in the Brydon Room, which is the biggest of the three rooms at Chelsea. The couple met on the street outside before the ceremony took place, then entered the room together. We had one reading, and separate ring bearers for the bride and groom’s rings.
Soon, the ceremony was over and we were outside on the famous steps for confetti! There were hugs all round, and then a short walk in the sunshine to Daphne’s for the reception.

We had a brief stop for photos after finding ourselves on a street that shared its name with the surname of the newlyweds. Then the couple made their second grand entrance of their wedding day into the beautiful conservatory at Daphne’s restaurant. With a fantastic glass roof, this area of the restaurant allows for private events. And of course the guests can still enjoy the sunshine despite being tucked away indoors!
There was lots of champagne, and loads of canapés, whilst the guests greeted Sophie and Will. Everybody milled about and caught up for an hour or so, then once the guests were seated for dinner the happy couple made their third grand entrance of the day! We had a quick introductory speech by the bride, then everyone got stuck into the lovely food. I said my goodbyes and left them to enjoy their afternoon.
