Time for a very grand wedding at amazing west London venue, Chiswick House. Sarah got dressed at the Clayton Hotel in Chiswick, but had her hair and make-up done at a local salon. Friends and family were present, and the bride supplied sandwiches and macarons to keep energy up. Then we all jumped in a cab back to the hotel where the flowers, the dress and the Jimmy Choos were waiting.
Once dressed another cab took me and the bridesmaids to the sunny venue. There Stephen was meeting and greeting the wedding guests. Sarah followed soon after in a huge white vintage Bentley. The wedding ceremony itself took place in the Upper Tribunal of Chiswick House, known as the Domed Saloon. It was accompanied by a string quartet, and the newlyweds signed the register in the Blue Velvet Room. They had some sneaky time to themselves whilst the guests moved down to the rear gardens. The couple then joined the party for glasses of fizz and yummy looking canapés, with more music from the quartet.
Inside Chiswick House, the wedding guests again took their seats in the Domed Saloon. It had been converted for the wedding breakfast, with tables spread across the three separate rooms. After dinner we were treated to speeches. Then the bride and groom did their first dance down in the basement.
