Kat and Alex’s wedding was another small-ish one, with a ceremony for close family and friends at Burgh House in their local Hampstead.
Kat got ready for the day with her family at the Malmaison London hotel near Barbican. She had a black and white stripy gown to match her rather striking wedding shoes! Once dressed she headed for the lift down to her cab, where she bumped into her father. It was a short journey north to Burgh House, a Grade-I listed building in Hampstead Village and home to the Hampstead Museum. There, Alex was waiting patiently, and soon their ceremony was underway. They held a brief drinks reception downstairs in the Peggy Jay Gallery, before everyone departed for the next part of the day.
The full wedding party walked through Hampstead Village on foot to find the Routemaster bus that would ferry them into the City of London. The second part of the day took place at The White Swan pub. Once there more guests arrived, and everyone was treated to much flowing booze, a steady stream of great food (which I got to sample too!), a brief pause for speeches, more food and more booze.
