The first of two wedding photographer’s weddings, this one at the Bleeding Heart restaurant in Farringdon. Shooting the weddings of other wedding photographers is always a bit daunting. Julie is particularly well known in the industry and so the pressure was that little bit greater! She rented an apartment near to her venue for her and her family to get ready. There was some furious origami occuring, making cranes for the tables and the table plan. She was about to become Mrs Crane, and cranes are a symbol of longevity and peace in her parents’ native Korea. There was also some tasty Ottolenghi food to snack on.
The registrars married the couple in the famous council chamber at Islington Town Hall in North London. After the ceremony there was time for confetti and photos on the steps, and a few glasses of fizz. Then the wedding guests got on to a vintage single decker bus for the trip to the reception. The newlyweds took a short detour by cab to the pub for oysters and stout. Then they headed to the Bleeding Heart restaurant for their party.
After the meal and speeches, the evening entertainment began. There was an interesting performance by the best men, with David helping out on didgeridoo. The fantastic Bikini Beach Band followed them. Their version of ‘Anarchy in the UK’ has to be heard to be believed!
