Another new venue for me with a wedding at Bingham Riverhouse. It often works out that in some years I end up with a large number of weddings in a certain area by coincidence. This year that place was Richmond upon Thames. I have a couple of summer weddings at Kew Gardens (coming soon). I had Jane and Richard’s ceremony in Twickenham back in May. Just around the corner from that, a return trip for me to the Octagon Room at the Orleans House Gallery for Michelle and Adam’s wedding.
Michelle got ready at her local salon, and then returned home for a cream tea with her bridesmaids and family. Meanwhile Adam met up with his family and the first round of guests for sunshine and Pimms at The White Swan in Twickenham. When it was time to leave Michelle had a chauffeur hat for her dad to wear for the journey to Orleans House.

After a post-ceremony helping of fizz and welsh cakes, there was time for a confetti run. After that, the couple made their exit by car, and the guests had a short wander down the road to a Routemaster bus. This took the wedding party across the Thames to Bingham Riverhouse. A glorious setting with great weather made for a very chilled out afternoon outside on the patio. There was a short break for speeches and some very tasty bowl food. My favourite way of serving wedding food. Then the couple cut their cake of cheese, and did some dancing as darkness began to fall.
