1901 Restaurant Wedding Photography, London
A return trip to the Andaz hotel in Liverpool Street, this time for a wedding in the 1901 Restaurant. The bride got ready in one of the upstairs rooms in the hotel with her bridesmaids helping out. Then they headed down to the street where a black cab was waiting to take bride and father to the ceremony. Thanks to Sally’s father’s OBE she and John were able to use the OBE chapel in the crypt of St Pauls Cathedral for their wedding ceremony. The only downside to such a great venue is that the vergers there have a very dim view of photography, but I managed to grab a couple from my spot at the back without anyone noticing.
From St Pauls everyone headed down Ludgate Hill to the Balls Brothers pub for a few glasses of champagne. Thirsts quenched, everyone jumped on a Routemaster bus back to Liverpool Street for the wedding breakfast. The meal was followed by some eventful speeches, and then the couple cut their very impressive peacock wedding cake. The first dance triggered the evening party, and the arrival of more guests, who no doubt danced the night away.

Thank you so much Mark. You were wonderful on the day and these pictures are brilliant. It’s great to see the day in so much detail.

What a beautiful job has been done by the photographer here, so very impressed, great detail and control of depth of field in both colour and B&W images.
Excellent photos. Best wedding photos I think I’ve seen.
Thank you – Brother of the bride
I really like the sequence of photos coming into the church, a good reportage feel to them. Shame the vergers are so sticky about photography, I would like to have seen more of the ceremony and the interior. I find this problem with quite a few churches, there doesn’t seem to be any need for it, especially if you aren’t using flash. Nice work.
