Cripps Barn Wedding Photography, Gloucestershire, Cotswolds
Last time I was at Cripps Barn for a wedding it rained. Not just a shower, but torrential rain from start to finish. Nice and sunny this time, and since my last visit they’ve replaced the marquee with a permanent oak-framed structure. They have also added some heavy-duty oak decking. A huge improvement all round then!
Andrea and her entourage (most of whom, including the bride and groom, had travelled from their home in Hong Kong) prepared for the wedding at the former Bibury Court Hotel. Once dressed they joined Richie at the barn for the ceremony. The bridesmaids wore stunning mint green and pink dresses and carried bouquets of pale roses that complimented the bride’s white peonies. Andrea hid her nerves well during the ceremony, until a violin performance by one of the guests.
After the ceremony the new decking got put to full use. There was a small confetti throwing, and a friend of the couple was singing. After that, everyone headed into to the new structure at the back, and the bride and groom cut their cake. There was a meal of hog roast, and after that the speeches, one of which was particularly cheeky. Later, the obligatory instant camera saw a lot of use, and there was a campfire and many a shot downed.
