Cotswolds Manor House Wedding Photography, Gloucestershire
A wedding at a fabulous Cotswolds manor house in the village of Barnsley. I find myself in the Cotswolds quite a lot, mainly because there are loads of really good wedding venues there. Barnsley House is at the top of this list. The groom got ready in a room in the main house, whilst the bride and her crew were in the Rosemary Verey suite. Keen runner Steve even managed a few miles before getting suited and booted. The amazing flowers featured succulents in the bouquets, the buttonholes, and in the table flowers.
Once ready, Emma and Steve even managed a rare outdoor ceremony! Obviously it started raining about 20 mins after the ceremony finished, so the year of the wet wedding continued. The guests gathered at the front of the house before heading across the lawn to the ceremony area. This was decorated with more flowers, and some simple paper lanterns. There was a short civil ceremony, with the important legal bits done in the little summer house. The guests then headed into the gardens for drinks and fizz, before heading inside for the meal, cake-cutting (bad groom) and dancing.
New things spotted: shirt cuffs embroidered with the wedding date, a Polaroid table plan, vodka shots for the toast by the (Polish) father of the bride, the gift of a window hinge by the groom, and a jigsaw guestbook! Always something new…
