The Manor Somerset (formerly Gerbestone Manor) near Wellington provided the fantastic setting for Helle and Christopher’s wedding day. Danish and Scandinavian weddings are always a lot of fun, and this was no exception. Both the bride and groom got ready on site, with the groom doing some last minute work on the table plan and other logistical items. The bride had a helpful team around her supplying pink fizz and reminding her to update her Facebook relationship status. The civil ceremony took place downstairs in the Drawing Room, with a young relative of the groom on ring duty. There was also music from a particularly mature group!
After the ceremony the guests headed out into the grounds for drinks and canapés, and more music. They then took their seats in an open sided tent in the grounds for the wedding breakfast. As with most nordic weddings, there were three times the normal amount of speeches, and musical performances aplenty from assembled family. The wedding also had the most crowded dancefloor I have seen in a long while! It cleared briefly for the bride to toss her bouquet.
