Even though Charlotte and Tom’s hometown is where I now live, I traveled to Verona in Northern Italy to shoot their wedding photography with their family and close friends. The celebrations began the night before as the guests eased into proceedings. There was local ice cream and drinks at Villa La Zambonina, a beautiful and elegant manor house built in the seventeenth century. This was to be the base for this Verona wedding.
Wedding Photography in Verona
The day dawned hot and sunny, as you would expect with Verona wedding photography in June! Everyone got ready at the villa with plenty of sparkles for the bride and her bridesmaids. Then everyone boarded a bus to Verona. Charlotte and her dad travelled separately to the Casa di Giulietta, said to be the family home of Shakespeare’s Juliet. Once the ceremony had taken place Charlotte and Tom took the opportunity to play the parts of Romeo and Juliet. They stood out on the balcony to seal their marriage with a kiss, much to the joy of all the guests and tourists!
Casa di Giulietta Wedding Photography in Italy
The wedding party made their way through the streets of Verona, with wedding photographer in tow, and then back to the villa. They made the most of the beautiful gardens where speeches were read and the wedding meal consumed. After cutting the traditional Italian lemon cake, it was into the pool to cool down! A quick game of Mr and Mrs followed, won by the mother and father of the bride. The evening was concluded by much dancing and some crazy shapes being thrown on the dance floor!
