Mary and Simon chose the village of Much Marcle, and the beautiful Hellens Manor for their wedding. My second illustrator client this year, Mary had created all of the wedding stationery and also the lovely cake topper. She also spent many hours decorating the barn at Hellens with huge paper lanterns.
The bride and groom both got ready at a local holiday cottage, with bridesmaids and family. The bride then made her way to nearby St Bartholomew’s church in a little vintage car.

The newlyweds and their guests then made the most of the lovely weather by walking through the village to the reception. They had drinks, canapés and harp music, until it was time to head into the barn for dinner. After a little break the cake was cut and the couple performed their first dance. Then the day was rounded off with a very enthusiastic céilidh followed by a release of some paper lanterns.
