Château St Pierre de Serjac Wedding Photography

Another fantastic venue in the Languedoc region of France added to the blog, with Caroline & Cian’s wedding at Château St Pierre de Serjac. This combination of luxury hotel and working wine estate sits in 200 acres of countryside. The couple had installed most of their family and friends in the on-site self-catering villas. Many of them spent their morning chilling in the pool. Later, a couple of guests delivered breakfast bags to everyone before the day properly started.

Both bride and groom had a minimal entourage for their preparations in separate villas. There was some last minute speech writing, and a buggy ride for Caroline’s elderly father!

With everything ready the guests gathered at the end of the beautiful swimming pool for the wedding ceremony. Family conducted the laid-back formalities, which also featured a singing performance by a very enthusiastic member of the party! The couple then headed off for a few minutes to themselves under a shower of olive leaf confetti.

Meanwhile the guests headed back up to the main house for drinks and canapés. There was a live band who managed to get a chunk of the crowd doing some early dancing.

Soon it was time for the guests to take shelter from the sun in the covered dining area. The newlyweds made their grand entrance, and we had a few pre-dinner speeches. Darkness fell as everyone enjoyed the wedding breakfast, then there was time for a few more speakers.

The arrival of a saxophone player signalled the beginning of the evening party. He led everybody up to the house where the bar was open and the dance floor waiting for action.

The evening party was held in a large indoor space in the château. The team of DJ and saxophonist kept the dance floor jumping long into the night.
