Geri and Gavin’s Tunnels Beaches wedding down in Devon was my first one after my relocation from Kent to Derbyshire. In fact it was the day after my relocation. And it was my birthday. (Mental note: In future, don’t move house during peak wedding season.)
As the recurring theme with the weather (rain, and more rain) took hold, I fully expected the ceremony to be moved from outdoors, overlooking the sea, to the shiny new building behind us. But everyone was determined to make the most of the amazing setting and so the brollies were out and we ploughed on.

With the ceremony out of the way everybody headed inside for drinks. These were followed by speeches and then food (barbecued under a balcony). The rain did hold off briefly, every now and then. The couple even managed a brief potter on the beach, a bouquet toss and some ice creams.
