New House Farm Wedding Photography
This was my second wedding at lovely New House Farm in the Lake District, and my first with a ceremony on site. The beautifully converted Cart Shed, with its fully glazed gable end, was the setting for the ‘legal’ bit of Sally & Liam’s day. The day also fell on the same day as the coronation of King Charles III.
The bride and her gang got ready in the main house with Jaye on make-up duty, and Rachel Kendrick doing the hair. The groom got ready off site, but got a lift to New House Farm in a Land Rover decked out in union flags.

The Cart Shed looked resplendent, and the light from the huge windows is amazing. Once Sally was ready, the bridal party headed over where a very emotional Liam was waiting. There were a few readings, and a civil wedding ceremony before the guests headed outside to shower the happy couple in confetti.
Everybody enjoyed canapés and fizz, and took part in some lawn games and lots of chit chat in the sun.

Inside The Hayloft, the stage was set for the wedding breakfast. The best man was in charge of ringing the dinner bell, and all the guests filed in. The table plan was represented by a map of the local area, in keeping with the couple’s fondness for hiking. There were some last minute repairs to Sally’s dress, before the newlyweds made their grand entrance.
We heard a number of speeches from the key players, then the couple cut their cake, before everyone tucked into the meal.

After the speeches, the weather was nice enough for everyone to head outside for some more lawn games. Then, with the Hayloft cleared of tables, the ceilidh began with the first dance. The usual chaos ensued, stopping only for the guests to enjoy pizza from the van outside.
As the sun set, we got a fantastic display in the Lake District skies. There was time for some more ceilidh dancing, before the couple had a sparkler send-off.
