Knowing the owners of an amazing old house in the middle of huge grounds is always helpful when looking for a wedding venue. This was the case for Gemma and Travis who got free run of Inwood House near Templecombe for their celebrations.
Gemma was a couple of hours late returning from the hairdressers, so I shot my usual pre-ceremony footage in about 15 mins. Then we headed to the fantastically named Purse Caundle for the church blessing (Gemma and Travis having already married in their native USA a month earlier), before returning to the house for drinks and the wedding breakfast, served on one huge banqueting table.
Quite a dramatic return to autumn for me after my weekend in France, as the couple had their ceremony at 5pm in the afternoon on a classic gloomy September day. It was virtually dark by the time they sat down to eat! This was also the first of two weddings featuring former clients as guests, with Marian and Daniel in attendance.
