Syon Park Wedding Photography, London
The rainy summer started for me here at Hannah and Mark’s wedding at Syon Park. Hannah got ready at home with friends and family before heading to church for the wedding ceremony. Their ceremony was held at St. Leonard’s church in Streatham, and conducted by Hannah’s father (one of a growing number of ‘parents conducting ceremonies’ on this blog). From the end of the ceremony, until the end of the day, it rained constantly. But, the show went on with only minimal disruption.
Once at Syon House there was a short drinks reception, followed by the umbrella-assisted walk over to the Great Conservatory for the wedding breakfast. Hannah and Mark had an ‘Alice in Wonderland’ theme to their table decorations, complete with red and white teapots for the red and white wine. They also left bags of lego on the tables which produced some interesting results.
After speeches and the cake-cutting there was a spectacular failed attempt at sabrage with a very large bottle of champagne. Everyone escaped intact, but with much less champagne. Don’t play with sabres, kids.
