Kate + Steve
Wedding Photography / Crear, Argyll, Scotland
I don’t often get enquiries for Scottish weddings, so it was great to be asked by Kate and Steve to head to Crear wedding venue in Argyll on the west coast and photograph their celebrations. I was promised amazing views from the glass walls of this remote venue, and perhaps a trip to the beach, but unfortunately the rather wintery weather put paid to that. Spirits weren’t dampened though and the couple’s family and friends enjoyed a very chilled-out day.
There was a lovely (and legally binding) Humanist ceremony, some great design touches by Kate including the only yellow and green colour scheme I’ve ever seen, a home-made photobooth and a giant wedding cupcake. Everyone ate well, drank well, and partied into the night.

An outdoor Scottish wedding with a serious view
This was my second Scottish wedding in 2011, and my first ever in Edinburgh. Tatum and Anthony actually live in Dublin, but came over the water with their priest (a member of Anthony's family) for their big day. I always enjoy a Catholic wedding as I get free reign...
