A quick trip over the border to north Wales for Louise’s preparations, then we all headed to the grand surroundings of Chester Town Hall for the ceremony. After a brief pause to fix music issues (still the biggest cause of delays to ceremonies despite/due to advances in technology) marriage occurred, then the happy couple got a rare chance to act like royalty from the Mayor’s private balcony, a privilege afforded to only a handful of couples before them.
We then walked through Chester, along the ancient city walls, to the Lady Diana boat for a short cruise down the river Dee to Eccleston for the reception. There was much rejoicing. And eating, and drinking, and dancing, etc.
